are you talking about the mouse getting old. If you are it is time to replace it with a new one.

Keep us informed as to your progress if you require further assistance.

If you think that any of the posts that have been made by all TR Members, have solved or contributed to solving the problem, please Mark them as Helpful so that others may benefit from the outcome.

Go to HP's website and see if there are any updates.
You might need to see if there are any updates for your computer from HP's website. Another thing why the mouse is moving is because your finger(s) is just slightly touching the mouse pad. Is there a setting where you can adjust the sensitivity of the pad in question?.
Please post back if you have any more problems or questions. If this information is useful, please mark as helpful. Thanks.
no fix yet but the source has something to do with the nvida dual monitor drivers or something so i've been told. keep looking for a driver update from nvida or windows ( i've also been told it has something to do with touch screen but other people without t/c and other brands having same issues )
The problem has to do with your power supply. Simply unplug your laptop and it stops. I don't know of a more permanent solution but now that we know the cause maybe someone else can point us to the right direction
