Custom Exchange/Outlook function

By summergrey ·
I'm looking for an app/script/command line that will offer the user a 'Browse' button to open another user's Outlook calendar running on an Exchange backbone. Similar to File--Open--Other User's Folder--Browse, only within its own little GUI, seperate from Outlook. (needs to integrate w/another app.)

I am just curious of the application for it. There are so many other ways to do that.
-Share the folder;
-Make the folder a Public one;
-Use the Web interface.

Would it be possible to record those keystrokes ( the ones to open the other users folder) as a macro. You may need to use the visual basic editor to edit the macro so it could be used from another application, but that might work...
just a thought

I don't think you can do that without setting up seperate exchange profiles in Outlook. What we do in house is install the Microsoft Exchange client first and then install Outlook 98.

Then we have the users setup to use Schedule+ as the default calendar. Schedule+ allows them to open others' schedules for viewing. What it sounds like you are trying to do would require everyone have permission to access everyone else's personal information store on the exchange servers.

Your best bet isto setup a public folder and have everyone keep their calendar's in it.
