custom inactive list

In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties > Notification Area > If you click on the Customize Command Button you recieve a List of Current Items and PAST ITEMS, How do i remove this Past Items List, It doesnt give you the the option to remove, there has to be someway of removing this Past Items List

What OS are you using?
Checking on Win 98 and XP Pro systems I don't see any "List of Current Items and PAST ITEMS", so to what are you referring?

The nearest I can find is the recently used documents and programs, which you can remove by clicking the "Clear" button.

Is that what you are after?

In XP there is an option to always hide

select the item and a drop down list appears, choose 'always hide' option.

Other than that, Kiltie is right, what OS are you using? this is crucial knowledge for any OS/program troubleshooting.
