D620 in port replicator causes USB keyboard/mouse problems

by jeremyt31 . Updated 16 years, 5 months ago

I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate 32-bit on Dell D620. Microsoft usb keyboard and Logitech usb G5 mouse. When plugged in to pr01x port replicator, the mouse sticks for a couple of seconds and the keyboard will pause and/or type like a key was held down or sometimes not type anything at all. Everything was fine when I used XP Pro.

When plugged directly into laptop’s USB ports, both devices work fine. I’ve also tried another USB keyboard and mouse and the same results. I plugged in an Inspiron D600 to the port replicator on XP Home Edition and everything works fine. I’ve seen posts on all sorts of sites but no answers.
