Damaged jump drive

By srividya817 ·
I damaged my memory stick (San Disk Mini- 256MB)accidentally when I put it in my laptop bag still plugged to my laptop from behind. I had stopped the device though. Now it is bent exactly at the hinge (point of attachment) and is no longer recognised !! I've important data in it and have been trying to retrieve the data in vain. Even GEEKS said they cannot help.

Is there any way to retrieve my data ?

Thanks .

the memory stick will have to be repaired. There are recovery
services that will take the chip off of the damaged chassi and
put on a new one.

Do a search on google for memory stick recovery services. Call
several of them and explain your problem.

I am in the same predicament as you were. I was hoping to find an easy solution to my troubles. Were you successful in finding and recovering the information from your damaged jump drive?
