I hate the way it churned up a bunch of topics so you can’t tell the ones with legitimate new comments from that piss-swigger’s dreck.

A Google Search of Most Spam on the Internet returns only 1 result TR. 😉
That’s what the site redevelopment was all about increasing the Site Traffic so they got what they wanted. :^0

The difference between talking too much and commercially junkmailing
by ansugisalas · about 10 years, 8 months ago
In reply to How many were from you?
is (tadaa): The former is a matter of opinion, the latter is a flaggable offense.
Feel free to flag my messages as spam, and let’s see who gets in trouble for abusing the board functionalities 😀
If it is your opinion that I talk too much, well, too bad. Can’t help it.

Ain’t nobody can vouch for your intent
by ansugisalas · about 10 years, 8 months ago
In reply to I’ve discovered that . . . . .
but yourself, and even then no amount of your testimony will make the intent come to fruition.
If you find your intent to be too often unrealized, you just have to try and communicate it better.
If it’s any consolation, I attempted to make my response in good humor, so apparently miscommunication happens to me too. -

I assume you weren’t surprised when you discovered your intended humor sometimes gets lost around here. It’s your message; if you don’t want to facility the understanding by your audience, don’t use them.

….. that my humor isn’t always evident. It oftentimes dry or subtle. But that’s okay. Humor is better if you don’t have to remind someone it’s a joke. If it gets lost as a result, oh well. < insert a shoulder shrug emoticon here >

Dry, subtle…
by ansugisalas · about 10 years, 8 months ago
In reply to Ah.
usually malign, seldom funny.
You know, a joke is something one does for others, not for one’s own gratification.
That’s the principle I follow, at least. I guess your idea of “lighthearted joke” is simply venom for which you have full deniability, like a politician.

I didn’t mean to offend you. After all, you’re my favorite Aussie! Moreover, when the good old US of A finally finds itself sliding into hell in a hand basket, I just might be flying 12,000 miles in your direction asking you for a job!!!!!!! (Are you hiring?)

In reply to AnsuGisalas your posts are getting too political….
1) How is that relevant to spam?
2) I guess all my posts over in the “5 future technologies…” thread are “too political”? Go take a look.
3) Too political as compared to whose? Or is there a universally agreed upon level of maximum politicalness?
4) Who says one can’t make light of politics?
5) If you’re paying for my writing, and so can dictate what I write, I don’t think I’ve received your latest cheques :p ]:)

You know what? I disagree.
My writing needs not one whit of your opinion. On the other hand, if you have something to say, say it. I won’t put it in my writing, but you should definitely put it in yours.
That would make you seem like less of a poacher hiding in Maxwell’s shadow.
I doubt he feels he needs your help. In fact, I think he might feel offended if you feel he does.
I don’t remember doing you any harm in the past, and our past exchanges have, in my recollection, been amiable. So what’s eating you, now? -

One of those didn’t have a link in it, the one post that isn’t flagged… but by the look of it the spammer simply forgot to put its payload in there. I’ll bet it gets updated with the missing “information”.-

They’re just boosting the google ratings for their illicit, potentially malware-ridden crap.
I’ve noticed that any blog titled “X best apps for [whatever]” will always be targeted heavily. I guess “best apps for” is a very searched for string which the SEO-monkeys know will bring in the search engine web crawlers.

You know by now that the PTB @ TR have only done this to make the site more Spamer Friendly so that they have to employ an extra 24 Moderators to remove the Spam.
If only more companies in the US showed such Corporate Responsibility there would be no Unemployment in the US. TR should be commended for their actions not bagged. :p

All one has to do is look at ANY Water Cooler discussion, and in more instances than not, AnsuGisalas posted the last message in the majority of threads and their spin-offs. Last Word Ansu almost ALWAYS takes the last word. He posts to excess. He’s everywhere.

Still not talking to me, are you?
Or, rather, you only respond to me when I am helping your case, never in honest criticism. Instead, like some home-grown Cato, you end your posts with “Praeterae censeo Ansu Gisalas delendam esse”.Apparently you do need the help of your little sniping cronies – funny how you post less when you don’t have one.
I am honestly sorry for overestimating you on that count, I promise I will not repeat that mistake.Ok – on to your message: So, I talk too much. I actually post less nowawadays than when I joined, and back then there were always three to five other members posting more than I did. I have just failed to cut back as much as others. I can stop, of course, if I believe that people are generally offended or annoyed by my activity – other than a handful of asses with wee wiener complexes, that is.
All I do is try to have some fun and share some ideas, and if you think that’s so offensive – well, then you can kiss my furry ass.
Pucker up, or shut up.
If I were truly evil I would ask, “Howcome you feel so threatened by my activity, that you feel a need to speak out against it?” -
