We’re reviewing our backup system (currently using DAT72 tapes rotated every day, which was set up by my predecessor).
I’m leaning towards the ext HDD as it can be connected to any machine to restore data, whereas the DAT72 need a machine capable of reading them, but the DAT72 can be stored off-site, the ext HDD can’t.
I wondered what you all use for backing up your organisations documents? What have you found particually helpful or disasterious?
