Your ONLY option is to pay one of the recovery firms.

That said, your chances of getting ANY of your old data off of the drive are very low!

Formatting the new 13GB partition most likely eliminated any chance of recovering your data from at least 3 of the 4 old partitions.

In order to have a chance at recovering data, the drive needs to be partitioned EXACTLY as it was before the virus hit.

Not true....Sry Chas.

www.grc.com....read up on cih and his free recovery tool. He defeated that cih virus long ago, and most recovery is easy if the tool is sucessful. Worth the read before sending out that drive as the virus only affects a very small portion of the first sector of the drive. His tool rebuilds that first sector, and I can attest to the fact that it does as can many others.

Now I have never formatted one before using his kill cih tool, but he says it has been done before and the instructions are there to do so. If you can't, maybe he will take it on as a project since he has a real passion for that cih virus and its defeat.

A recovery company can pull data from the grave.

They use what is called a extractor. They remove the disk from the hard drive and install them on their machine and it starts to read the disk.

Their software will take a ghost of a signal and reconstruct the data.

Iomega has this service avaible.

One thing to remember. Everytime you access that drive you decrease the chance to recover the information.
