how can the data can be recover from NTFS based system

What exactly is the problem? If the hard drive is not recognized by the bios, you are out of luck. If the hard drive is fine, then you could add it to a machine that has NT running and you should have access to it. You could also use utilities such as ERD Commander or Disk Commander from www.winternals.com, but if you take this route you will have to shell out some money.

If the drive had Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you could reinstall the OS or boot up from the install CD and run repair in command mode which will get you to a command promt.

If you post a little more detail, we could give you advice that will fit your situation better.
