DATA RECOVERY

By mefaces2000 ·
I've been asked to try to recover some msoffice files that were deleted by an employee prior leaving the company.
It's this possible? if we only had NT workstation and office installed in that system, if it is what third party software is good for this is it free share or what is better. Thanks for the help!!!!!

First don't use that PC at all! If you save or change any data on it, it will over right the deleted files, no recovery will be available. I would go and get Norton Utilites 2001, and try to undelete the files.

If you are on a network, you should be backing up the server at night. IF the files were saved to the server. If the files were only on that PC try looking in the trash can. IF the trash can was emptied the files are gone. Lastly try looking herdesk for floppys maybe there's copy of the files there. Good Luck
