Hi ,
I have reinstall the OS i.e windows XP sp2 on my compaq pesario laptop by the recovery partion in D drive .
there is only a single partition C on my hard disk . unfortunatley it showed me 3 options while resinstalling OS by the recovery partion out of which I selected 1st which shows user data wouldl be backed up .
after doing this, there was no impact on the data which was on C drive but the profile under which i was logged on and all the data in my documents and settings got lost and now it has created a new profile and i am not able to get any of those pictures and songs and data whcih was on my desktop and in my doucments .
It has NTFS partition.
Please help me in giveing some work around or free software utility which i could use to recove my lost data of user profile.
any help would be deeply appreciated.
