Database Change Management

By alicia_kay ·
I'm interested in change management for Oracle databases. I'm currently looking at DBArtisan Change Manager by Embarcadero Technologies. I'm wondering if anyone's used it and if it's any good or if someone could recommend a database change management system that they have used and are happy with... Thanx!

We use BMC schema maintainence product. Although it is not a change control product, it creates OCDL files which we then log into out standard change control system. The OCDL describes the database schema changes at a high level and provides a deltaof what was done. You also have the ability to create "base line" OCDL for a starting point of reference.

Hi

DBArtsian is definitely a good tool for any such DBA activities. I feel DBArtsian can do it at very basic level. I am not sure of your requirements for Change mannagement tool , but if you are using some modeling tools like ERWIN then also it is possible to keep track of database schema. Good Luck :)
