Database halves on laptop is it possible?

By Linda2810 ·
Hi, I wonder if someone could help please, I haven't had my laptop long so not sure if this is possible, on my desktop PC, which is XP and when I'm working with Database I have no problem doing a half (alt 0189) but I can't work out how to do it on the laptop (Vista), is it possible?
thanks, Linda

On a laptop

You have to use a funtion key to activate your "number pad". The character key on your desktop you'll notice only work if you use your number pad and not the numbers across the top. If you look at your laptop keyboard, some of the keys have blue numbers on them (at least they are blue on my Dell). If you hold the funtion (fn) key it will allow you to use the "number pad" on your keyboard. Then your Alt 0189 will work.
