Data.cab not found???

By Able-Admin ·
Recieving errors similar this this when trying to install programs from cd (everything from ms office to symantec AV Corp.). If file stucture is copied to the hard drive then the install runs smoothly. First I thought it may be a random occurence but now its happened on several machine in my domain. Just yesterday I recently added a new out of the box gateway xp pro and after joining the domain had the same problem trying to install NAV. This leads me to believe it could have something to do with a random Group Policy rule? (already tried disabling -AllocateCDRoms-)

Please help...this is becomming more than a pain now.

P.S. problem is exactly like discribed herin http://support.autodesk.com/getDoc.asp?id=TS65415 though Autocad installed perfectly on the xp machine right before the failure of NAV
