I know my stance on this but I wanted to see how others felt. As an IT person, you often deal with users on a one on one basis and you are exposed to everyone throughout your organization that has a pc. This leads you to meet alot of people throughout your organization and sooner or later they get to know more about you as a person rather than an employee. If you happen to be single, the temptaion will sooner or later will get to you even if you don’t react to it. While that sort of thing is often against company policies, we all know that there is the inevitable “exception to the rule” you’re willing to make.
One more little bit, it doesn’t count as dating if the other person filed harassment charges with HR after you asked them out!
