Day and Month Reversed

By mbnc1124 ·
Hello all...

My question pertains to either Office 2003 Professional or Windows XP Home/Pro editions - I just haven't figured out which. I am running this software and all of a sudden, the day and the month have started showing up backwards. Instead of something showing MM/DD/YY, it shows DD/MM/YY. This happens in all office programs, as well as Quickbooks and other non-microsoft applications. Due to this, I am inclined to think it is something with the operating system itself...however am stumped!

Thank you!

You may very well be right.

Have you checked your regional options control panel? There is a time tab there for setting the date preference.

regional settings is probably the problem. It was probably set to English, but for another country (like Britian)

Besides checking your Regional Settings, be sure to open Word (or any other Office app) click Insert--Date and Time--make sure the correct date is highlighted and make sure Language is set to English (U.S.).

I'm now thinking it is the operating system itself. The day/month is also incorrect in the Regional settings, but I am unable to change it! Thanks guys for the help!
