Microsoft KB states that a Backup from a specific Domain Controller can be used only to restore it in case of Hardware Failure.
But when a System State Backup is taken in order to use dcpromo /adv switch to avoid replication via slow WAN links, how does this work as the System State backup is taken on a DC thats quite different from the one on which the dcpromo /adv switch is going to be executed.
