Dead Keyboard Controller

Does anyone have any ideas on a way to override or repair the keyboard connector on a Venturis 575 by Digital Mob without trashing it all together/ (ha ha funny, I suppose)I am attached to this system and would rather not throw it out all together!!
Thanks in anticipation for any assitance given!!

Not sure quite what that is offhand, but here's what I'm thinking: USB. If you don't already have a port, pick up a USB card and a USB keyboard. Hope that helps.

How handy are you with a soldering iron?
The keyboard connector is soldered to the mainboard (I will not say motherboard, because a 575 uses a riser.)
You, or a friend who knows how to do this, can get a piece of "solder wick", use it with the soldering iron to remove the solder from the 7 (?) solder points, pull out the keyboard connector, put in another one, and resolder. Takes about 15 minuites, max, with the board out of the computer.
You need to find an electronics parts store, or takethe keyboard connector off of an old 286/386.
