I recently asked a question about my Disk Drive. It was disconnected from my motherboard when I had tried to add some new hardware to the computer, and I received an answer from one of the community to check the Data Lead on both sides of the chain, the drive and the motherboard. I had accidentally left my computer on when I tested the cable, and it had messed up. I turned it off to reset it, and when I turned it back on, it wouldn’t work, all it did was give one long beep. I called my friend’s father who is a computer repair proffesional and asked him to guide me through fixing the problem. We disconnected all the hardware from the motherboard and that didn’t work, so we changed the jumper settings. Still the beep, so we decided to return the jumper to it’s original settings, and then the real problem started: the computer would not turn on at all. He said that it was supposed to turn on then off, but it wouldn’t even turn on. Sometimes the fans will start, then immediately stop. I have no idea what I did wrong and I don’t know what to do. I am currently using my grandfather’s computer to post this and do what I need to do. Please help me in any way possible.
