A couple of ideas:

- Make sure the DLL source has been compiled with debug options.

- Use breakpoints in DLL source. Then you can step through the DLL code.

If you dynamicaly link the dll then breakpoints don't apper to work till dll is loaded but then they became red again and actualy stops at them.
Try to do step into when procedure from dll is called.
Be sure that you set all debug options and re-BUILD the source!
I'm not sure but check that user that you use with Windows has right to attach to process, by default it is only administrators. Login as admin and try again.

did u set the right host-application?
u have to define the hostapplication for
the dll u want to debug.
Best op ist to start that exe using the IDE.
