Default Mail Cleint Problem – Outlook2003

    Locked

    by pgardiye ·

    Hi Folks,

Hope someone can shed some light on this matter. We have PC which runs XP SP2 and Outlook 2003 SP2. Connecting to Exchange server, however when tries to attach something to the mail client we get an error says “Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Office Outlook and set it as the default mail client”. (This is when you right click on a file and select send to, mail recipient)

I have done the following to solve this but no avail.

    1. Have checked the option in outlook 2003 to make it default.
    2. Changed the settings in IE to outlook2003 as mail client etc..
    3. Checked windows set program access and defaults.
    4. Also have checked the registry and the registry keys are there.
    5. Then tried removing outlook2003 as default mail client, restarted PC, again configured outlook2003 as the default client. But still the same error.

I don’t know what else to try as i have ran out of my options. If anyone have or had the same issue or know a solution for this problem, please help.

    Thanks,
    Posh
