Hi all-
I have 300+ computers on my network all of witch us GPO and log-on scripts. 2 of them will not hold the default printer. 1 of the 2 will set the default printer back to the local printer after every log-on and the other one will set it to the same network printer after every log-on. I have tried ever thing i can thing of and every thing i can find on the grate IT helper “google”. Some of the things I have tried are as followed, changing the registry for the default print, reinstalling the printer, and i even reinstalled xp, also tried searching for the file HPOTDD01.EXE and deleting that, and a couple of other things. I have not tried setting the default printer with the log-on script or GPO because the network admin dose not want to.
Any help would be great and very appreciated.
