Default Shares on Win2k

On Win2k by default we have these shares Admin$ c$ D$ & IPC$.

How do i remove Admin$ share permanently & also the rest of the shares like c$ d$ IPC$?

what is the impact if i remove these shares ??

These are just hidden shares. The only impact will be if you have users logging into a domain and running a script to map their personal share.

Create a batch file and put at start up. Batch file will be as below

rem net share c$ /delete
rem net share d$ /delete
rem net share print$ /delete
rem net share admin$ /delete
