Default User Profile doesn't show printers for domain users

By avakelly ·
I have copied and recopied a test user into the deault user profile in order for all users to be able to access network printers, but nothing seems to work. I thought at first there was a policy in place that was stopping it, but I can't find anything. All of the microsoft articles I find seem to deal with local users, but I need to create an image that will have the printers showing for any user who logs on to the domain, not locally. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in a domain environment are available via AD provided that you listed the printer in AD.

you can use a logon script... here's a link to the MS scripting center for printers.

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/default.mspx?mfr=true

just click on the printer link.

user account to initially setup things the way you want them. Do not use an account with admin rights, unless all your users will have admin rights. Then follow the Microsoft instructions for coping the profile to the default user.
