Defrag

Can anyone recommend a good defrag program that will actually work.

How do set up a software up to be a default software i.e when i put a dvd in my drive i would like it to start in Powerdvd

I'm assuming you're talking about xp's defragger not working. I too have been looking for something that works better. The xp defragger defrags things but it doesn't consolidate files to the begining of the drive like other defraggers do (or the ones I used to work with). What I found in my search were 2 apps that looked pretty good,but alas they weren't open source (my first pick also). O&O Defrag and DiskKeeper were the 2 that looked the best. DisKeeper is generally considered the creme de la creme of defrag software. Here's a link. May be same info as link above.
