Defrag Automatic

I am running windows 95 and when booted, defrag starts automatically and I cannot find how it is starting automatically.

Open your Task Scheduler to review what tasks are listed and when they are scheduled to run. You should find defrag listed with the option to run on startup. You can either delete the task or schedule it for another time.

I can't find task scheduler.

There is probably a shortcut to defrag in your startup folder. Just delete that.

Sheduled Tasks, or Task Scheduler is normally found in System Tools
