Defragging a RAID configured drive

By tchieng ·
I have two hard drives configured as a RAID type 0. I was wondering if it's okay or safe to defrag on a configuration like this?

Yes its fine, the OS sees the the two drives as just one regular harddrive. It just happens to perform better =D

Yes it is fine ot go ahead and defrag the drive. Go to a command line and type:

defrag <volume>

you may also use one of the following options:

-a Analyze only
-f Force defragment
-v Verbose output
