Delegate in Exchange and OL2K – How to s

    Locked

    by slickforce ·

I am the system administrator for my company. We use Outlook 2K and Exchange 5.5. I have several hidden exchange mailboxes that I have to go through and the reason they are hidden because these employees left the company. So of them I am sure has assigned delegates (via Outlook and some via the Exchange) so that some other people can maintain their mail.

How can I pull out the data of these users having a delegate in Outlook and Exchange WITHOUT enabling each ID and log on as the user and check their outlook settings?

You can find the list of delegates on the Delivery Options tab of the user account in Exchange Administrator.

This will tell you what users had the authority to Send of Behalf of, but will not tell you who had access to the mailbox for retrieval. As far as I know, the folder permissions would have to be viewed from Outlook when logged onto the user’s account.

However, if you archive the contents of the departed user’s folders and then delete the account, who may have had access is merelyinteresting (unless I’m missing something…. always a possibility).

      regards!

The first answer looks good to me. If that doesn’t work, try something else. Hope this helps.
