Delegating Terminal Services Manager

Hi there,

Is there anyway to delegate terminal services manager to helpdesk so that in case of not responding processes and disconnected connections they should able to reset connection or end the process.
Hope the brilliant people out there have some advice for me as always. Thanks

If you are running Active Directory try the Delegation Wizard. Dont know to much about it but you can delegate users or groups to do certain jobs.

There is.
Start/Programs/Administrative Tools/Terminal Services Configuration.

Goto the properties for your RDP connection/ Permissions tab.
Create a group for your helpdesk users (domain preferably otherwise local) add this group. Click on the advanced permission tab and give them whatever rights they need.

Unfortunately, you'll have to repeat this process for all your servers. There are no GPO components or command line tools to do this.

One way to kind of centralize a rollout for this is to export
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\terminal Server\Winstations\RDP-tcp\ then the security parameter. This will only work if you want to set exactly the same permissions on all systems. (ps. this parameter only exists if you change the default permissions)
