Find and download a program called Delpart.exe. Put it on a DOS bootable floppy, and use it to delete the NTFS partitions. Then use format.exe like this: format /mbr and you are now ready to install another OS. You can find Delpart on http://www.bootdisk.com in the 'Partitioning' area.

Hi,
You can also do this with a bootable nt \ win2k cd if you have one. proceed with an installation to the point at which it prompts you for the partition to use, there you can delete the offending partition, and exit the setup.

Reinstall NT. Repartitioning is one of the options. You can remove all existing partitions, create new partitions and make them either FAT or NTFS. If you make them FAT, you will later be able to remove them with FDISK.
