Delete all files with certain extension

By jlhiowa ·
Hi. I need some sort of free program or script to delete all files with the extension .FDI (a garbage file created whenever we use our forms). It would be nice if it would automatically run every day, or especially nice if it would start itself after the form program was closed.
Thanks :)

create 'delete.bat'
use basic or qbasic to create, and , if a windows system, create a scheduled task to run it at whatever time is convenient (daily, at 4am?)

Sorry but I don't know basic or qbasic
(Unless it's the same BASIC that I used a little bit on an Apple IIe.)

Hi,
I agree that a scheduled task is best, but for the script simply use

del c:\*.FDI /S /Q

To delete every file on the C drive with the fdi extension.

I found a freeware program called Grex that I think will work. If not I will try your script. Thanks
