I have a user that had their outlook.pst file buried 15 directories deep in their \\winnt\profiles\username\yadayadayada. Due to some application inconsistencies etc we decided to save short cuts, delete the profile and let NT rebuild it. I went into control panel/system/user profiles and blew it away in there. I am thinking that outlook.pst file is gone forever. If I am wrong please help me in recovering the file.

Thanks

There are some undelete utilities that you can put to work, I know of System Suite, NTRecover, undelete for Winnt and I think there are a couple more like http://www.dtidata.com/.
Good luck

Usually you should have 2 profiles, one roaming and the other Local on the machine, if you deleted only one of them then you can recover it from the other profile, if you deleted the both, then you should use one of the undelete utilities..

Good Luck
