DELETING A HOMEMADE SCREENSAVER

I assume by control panel, that you are referring to the Add/Remove programs section.

If the software appears to be removed from Add/Remove programs, then it has a hidden application that re-installs it when you re-boot.

Start by running AdAware from www.lavasoft.de
This program gets rid of a lot of spy-ware type programs.

Next, if you have Windows 98, Me, or XP, you can use msconfig (from start, run) to look for programs that run at startup.
On the startup tab, un-check any programsthat look like they may be the installer for the screensaver.

Finally, most screensavers are stored in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System folders.
Search the folders on *.scr and delete the offending screensaver file.
