I have a 100GB partition on my hard drive which I save a bunch of my random junk. I installed the windows 7 beta finally, and when I got to the partition screen to choose the partition to install it on, I deleted the wrong one (my junk partition). I restarted the computer real quick in hopes that the partitioner in windows 7 was similar to the partitioner in ubuntu. This, however, was not the case. My junk partition was still deleted. So I continued with the install, and here I am. I am writing this in hopes that someone will know a way to get at least some of my information back. I did not format the partition, I only used the “delete” option, and I find it difficult to believe that it did a complete wipe of the 70GB of data that I had in 0.5 seconds flat.
Any help will be appreciated, and thanks in advance to anyone who may help me.
