DELETING A PROGRAM

After deleting the program through control panel.... reboot your computer. If you still get instances of the deleted program, then go to Start --> Run --> and type in regedit. Then Click on Edit --> Find and type in the string of words, path, name, etc of whatever it is you are looking for.

BACKUP the registry or any keys before making any modifications. The registry consists of two files... SYSTEM.DAT and USER.DAT -- back them up.

BE VERY CAREFUL with deleting things in the registry... if you are not careful, you may end up corrupting Windows.

befor you start on the registry try this. go to start, run type in sysedit then look in the sys.ini and win.ini for load= run= to see if the program is listed. try typing rem in front of the listing. and rebooting. also check the programs folder to see if there is still a folder left for it. was this gator or some other free ware?
