Deleting a user, XP Home Edition

Hello. For some reason, whenever I go to delete a user on XP Home Edition on my Dell (purchased 1-2003) the program that deletes the user automatically freezes, causing the user to be undeletable. I am trying to delete my name from my wife’s account, but when it asked me for login names I put my name as #1 and hers as #2, although we both have the same level of access, “Computer Administrator”. Anyone else have this problem? Know of something I am doing wrong? Know of a fix? please post a reply! Thanks!!!
