Deleting an OS

by kati.lynn . Updated 17 years, 9 months ago

I am going to explain this long story, in the shortest, quickest way I can .. ha.

My computer boots up to the XP screen and then loops and restarts again. In an attempt to fix this I used a recovery disk, it was the wrong one. Oops. Now I have Windows XP Home, and my original OS XP Media Center. I would like to erase Home edition. How could I go about this? I have it on my D: drive, which is also my Recovery partion. (Come to find out I really don’t have a recovery disk.. it is on the D: drive. Wish I would have known that yesterday.) In order to recover Media edition, I can simply press F11 and so on. BUT While XP Home edition is installed, it does not allow me to use the recovery though F11. Can someone please help me?! …Before I pull my hair out. Oh! AND It’s not my hard drive.. did the self test, she passed. AND No, I can not access Safe Mode. Thanks in Advance!
