My company has recently bought an Allegro hand-held device that we use to log data from a GPS system. The Allegro runs Windows CE V. 4.10 (Build 908).
My question regards deleting files from the device. One of our surveyors used a program to delete a file which should not have been deleted. When we checked the device’s Recycle Bin, it was empty.
I thought maybe it was a quirk of the program. So I used My Computer to delete a file and then checked the Recycle Bin again – but it was still empty.
The recycle Bin is set to reserve 10% of available storage for it’s own use = 2.28MB. The test file I deleted was only 104 bytes.
So, I would like to know if the Recycle Bin needs to be activated? Or is there something wrong with the device?
This is the first time I have used Windows CE, so any advice will be appreciated.
