Deleting unused user profiles

By netxt ·
Hello,
I need your help.
I manage a Windows 2000 A.D. domain with about 30 Windows 2000 Professional computers. Many of user profiles are roaming profiles.
I am looking for a script/a tool to remove unused profiles older than "x" days.
Thank you.

Deleting unused user profiles

Hi,
Two things I would do. Firstly, look in the reskit for a utility called delprof.exe This allows you to delete selected profiles. It's great because you can use it against remote machines (obviously need to be an admin) and tell it to delete profiles that have been inactive for a certain number of days. It should take about 5 minutes to whip up a batch file that will do your entire estate. Secondly, use the group policy to delete local copies of roaming profiles when users log off (can'tremember precisely where the setting is but it shouldn't be hard to find). Hope this helps....
