In my network of 300 computers, i have found an virus named nb_worm in the task manager which is in the startup of the system. I was running mccafe which was not able to detect that virus hence i switched to norton anti virus. I even removed each individual machines from network and rebooted the system in the safe mode and deleted the nb_worm.exe file in the startup and even in the task manager/processes and also gave an search in the local hard disk and deleted all the files.
Still the worm is there in the machine when i restart the machine. I find it difficult to run the applications such as MS Office,notepad etc.. I am not able to open the file by double clicking it. i have to go to file-open to open the file in MS Office or notepad. Even my paste is disabled in the system.
Is there any way by which i can secure my network from this nb_worm.exe virus.
I find that in the registry there are two folders namely Microsoft Network Firewall and ll_legal. I possibly think they are also virus folders.
