Howdy folks. So My Inspiron 700m recently stopped delivering sound from the speakers when the laptop is open wider than about 30 degrees. The headphone jack delivers sound regardless, bt I’m wondering if anyone can sggest a quick fix o the speaker problem (which appears to be a wiring issue).
ALSO, I’ve noticed since the first problem developed, that my larger battery will die suddenly with no warning, leaving the computer at a complete flatline (previously I would receive the “low battery” warning and the computer would subsequently go into hibernation). The battery power lasts only about an hour now, as opposed to it’s normal 4+ hour life.
Could these two issues be connected? Do I just need some pliers for the first problem and a new battery for the second? Please advise.
