What Model M'Board is this? Is the Western Digital HDD a SATA or IDE type Drive and does the M'Board support it Natively of do you need an adapter?

If the WD Drive is an IDE Drive is it on the same Data Lead as the Optical Drive? If it is have you jumpered both devices so that they will work and does BIOS see the new HDD?

Have you set the BIOS to boot off the Optical Drive first before the HDD?

Post back with an answer to these and I or someone else here will try to help you out.
