Yes, I was wondering the same thing...

by bamac86 In reply to dell inspiron 6000 video ...

did you find a fix. My video driver for my Insp 6000 seems to have died. This is terrible that so many are having this problem. My support from Dell has run out, unfortunately.

Thanks.

They still list the drivers on the support site. Here is a link.

yes, I downloaded both the driver for ATI Radeon x300

by bamac86 In reply to Dell site

and for the Cineplayer 3.0.

I downloaded the ATI driver, went to Device Manager and tried to install it. It gives me a message that the driver I have is the most current version and best fit for my video card.

I am a novice, so any help would be appreciated...

My problem is that my dvd player will not play any sort of dvd. I get sound but no picture. I have Cineplayer and Windows Media Player... I put in the dvd & nothing happens. When I try to play a mpeg the sounds comes out of WMP but no video.

I tried to install the upgrade/patch for Cineplayer 3.0, also. This did nothing.

Dell Inspiron 6000
Windows XP Media Center, SP2
ATI Mobility Radeon x300 Video Card
Sony DVD+-RW DW-Q58A
Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz
1 GB RAM

THANKS!
