Dell Inspiron Battery problem

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400, which is 1.5yrs older. right now battery is lasting for only 10minutes.the problem is when i am connecting AC Power, laptop freezes/response is very slow. and if i remove AC adaptor, computer runs perfectly fine on battery. i think battery is worn out. but the problem is when i removed battery and running laptop only on AC Power, still computer repsonds very slow. how can i disable battery or why i am not able to run laptop with AC on ?please help

Take out battery

Take out the battery and plug in you AC adapter.

If the computer still acts up on AC power you may have an internal problem with the power.

If their is no problem, with AC in use and the battery removed, then its definately your battery, get a new one.
