Dell Latitude C510/C610 laptop PC

By larrycarol99 ·
PC will not turn on. When I plug the ac adapter into the pc, the light on the adapter blinks on and off. If the adapter is not plugged in to the pc, the light stays on. Do I possibly have either a bad battery or a bad ac adapter?

sounds like a/c adapter...but I'd contact Dell

The green LED on the A/C adapter is blinking?

Sounds like it is a faulty power supply. Optimally, if you had another laptop to plug that in to, or another power supply to plug into your laptop, that would be best. But it sounds to me like the a/c adapter is what is at fault.

I am sure that PC is out of warranty, but, you may be able to chat with tech support on Dell's website and get a direct answer from them.

Bad Motherboard

by pc21geek In reply to Dell Latitude C510/C610 l ...

I have seen a lot of bad motherboards causing that. Take the battery out, and try the power adapter. If it powers up ok, then your battery might be the issue. If not, then i would suggest replacing the motherboard.
