Dell Lattitude Notebook

By kjgagliano ·
I have a Dell Lattitude 840 notebook and recently had a problem with it. I bought it at a garage sale and it doesn't have any OEM CD's. It uses Windows XP O/S. Recently it stopped booting. It just keeps tryint to re-boot. I took the HDD out and ran a Virus check on it ant it found nothing. The chkdsk /f found no errors either. I think something corrupted the boot sector and I have no recovery disk.

Does anyone have a OEM CD for this model notebook that can meke me a copy?

Re: Dell Lattitude Notebook

Sorry my friend, but you are going to have to buy the Windows software or (if you know the seller) ask he/she for the disks. It is illegal (and that goes for anyone on here) to handover a "copy" of the software in question to you.
