I have a Dell Optiplex GX110. When I turned it on this morning an alarm sounded (like a smoke alarm – constant signal not beep, beep,beep). The system then started to reboot but suddenly stopped and gave an error message of “A disk read error. Press ctrl alt del to restart” I did that and nothing happened and the alarm was still going off. I just turned it off again. Was working fine yesterday – no changes made to anything. Has Windows XP.
