I have a Dell PE2600 server, which we would like to rebuild from scratch. (new RAID array, upgrade OS from 2000 to 2003, etc.)
I have created the new RAID array with no issues. Initialized the new logical drives with no issues. When I go to start the OS install, I get “no boot device available”….
but I do see the DVD/CD-ROM drive working while the server is booting up. Once it finishes going thru recognizing the logical drives then I get the error.
I have also gone into the Setup BIOS (F2) & made the CD Drive first in the boot sequence.
Any thoughts? Very much appreciated.
