Dell SX280 / Ghost / Broadcom /SATA

I have approximately 1300 Dell SX280’s deployed.

Recently I have seen an increase in the number of failed units – but still small when compared to estate. However, my main problem is a strange one.

When rebuilding some of the machines, Ghost 7, we get the odd machine that refuses to rebuild. Yet these machines can be taken elsewhere and built o.k. Processors are different, thought it was an issue with 6 series – but most rebuilds are 5 series. Thought it was Broadcom NIC – but surely this would affect day to day operations? not just the rebuild? SATA drives appear to work across the estate o.k? Just these intermittent rebuild issues? Any ideas?
