Hello all,
Fairly new here and love the resources.
I have a Dell latitude D600 (XP Pro) using ProSet to set up the wireless connection. The wireless card is a 2200GB with january ’04 drivers.
Unchecked windows control over wireless config., set up my wireless with our unique settings (works for every other computer), except that the option to choose 802.11g or b is grayed out AND the wireless connection complains that it is “out of range.”
In the ProSet utility, the selection is stuck at 802.11b, when the default is suppose to be “use both”.
I reloaded the drivers, added a new profile personally and also restarted a few times. I also was standing right under the AP so can’t be out of range. It’s set up for DHCP and the AP is working (pinged it with a lan computer). Could it be the card?
Thanks in advance!
